Le sentier est class\u00e9 dans la cat\u00e9gorie de difficult\u00e9 <strong>E<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>C&rsquo;est le plus long des sentiers officiels, plus de 12 kilom\u00e8tres, et il relie Gressoney-Saint-Jean \u00e0 Gressoney-La-Trinit\u00e9, en longeant le c\u00f4t\u00e9 gauche de la vall\u00e9e (droite orographique), toujours \u00e0 environ 400 m\u00e8tres du fond de la vall\u00e9e. Il ne faut pas se laisser tromper par le fait que l&rsquo;altitude de d\u00e9part soit sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle d&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e : sur ces 12 kilom\u00e8tres, on encha\u00eene en effet de nombreuses mont\u00e9es et descentes, ce qui porte le d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 total en mont\u00e9e \u00e0 environ <strong>1 069 m\u00e8tres<\/strong>. Une courte section expos\u00e9e est toutefois s\u00e9curis\u00e9e par quelques cordes fixes, et une autre section avec des marches taill\u00e9es dans la roche, abruptes mais totalement s\u00fbres. Si l&rsquo;on se prom\u00e8ne en automne, par temps clair, alors que la neige blanchit d\u00e9j\u00e0 les plus hautes pentes, on peut profiter de vues aux contrastes de couleurs vraiment spectaculaires.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remarque<\/strong>: cette fiche d\u00e9crit le parcours de Gressoney-Saint-Jean \u00e0 Gressoney-La-Trinit\u00e9. <strong>Bien entendu, vous pouvez \u00e9galement effectuer ce parcours dans le sens inverse<\/strong>, en partant du d\u00e9part du sentier situ\u00e9 au rond-point \u00e0 l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e de Gressoney-La-Trinit\u00e9 (celui o\u00f9 se trouve la petite maison en bois). L&rsquo;h\u00f4tel est actuellement (2025) ferm\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s un court passage dans un bois dense, \u00e0 environ <strong>1825 m,<\/strong> on croise un sentier qui monte par la droite : un panneau nous indique que l&rsquo;on croise le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sentierigressoney.it\/fr\/sentieri\/col-ranzola-2171m-sentier-3\/\" class=\"sentiero-chip clickable-chip\">\n                    <i class=\"fas fa-hiking chip-icon-fa\"><\/i> \n                    <span class=\"chip-label\">SENTIER 3<\/span>\n                <\/a> (le premier des sentiers \u00ab\u00a0<em>affluents<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0), en direction du Colle Ranzola, qui, \u00e0 clickable-chip\">\n                    <i class=\"fas fa-hiking chip-icon-fa\"><\/i> \n                    <span class=\"chip-label\">SENTIER 1W<\/span>\n                <\/a>, qui quitte le sentier Depuis le centre de Gentiers de Gressoney-Saint-Jean, j&rsquo;ai emprunt\u00e9 le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sentierigressoney.it\/fr\/sentieri\/chateau-savoie-1405m-sentier-15\/\" class=\"sentiero-chip clickable-chip\">\n                    <i class=\"fas fa-hiking chip-icon-fa\"><\/i> \n                    <span class=\"chip-label\">SENTIER 15 \u00ab\u00a0DELLA REGINA\u00a0\u00bb<\/span>\n                <\/a>, je suis arriv\u00e9 au ch\u00e2teau et j&rsquo;ai continu\u00e9 sur le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sentierigressoney.it\/fr\/sentieri\/weismatten-2055m-sentier-2\/\" class=\"sentiero-chip clickable-chip\">\n                    <i class=\"fas fa-hiking chip-icon-fa\"><\/i> \n                    <span class=\"chip-label\">SENTIER 2<\/span>\n                <\/a> jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce que j&rsquo;atteigne, juste avant la Baite di David, l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e du sentier 1W. Tout au long du parcours, tout au long de la journ\u00e9e, je n&rsquo;ai rencontr\u00e9 personne d&rsquo;autre que des bouquetins et des chamois. J&rsquo;ai atteint le fond de la vall\u00e9e au tunnel juste avant Gressoney-La-Trinit\u00e9 avec le soleil maintenant couch\u00e9, et je suis retourn\u00e9 \u00e0 Gressoney-Saint-Jean dans
