Alta Luce stands on a spur that divides the<em> Lys glacier<\/em> from the <em>Garstelet glacier<\/em>: higher up on the same spur are the <strong>Citt\u00e0 di Mantova<\/strong> refuge and the <strong>Capanna Gnifetti<\/strong> (from Alta Luce, an unnumbered trail joins <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sentierigressoney.it\/en\/sentieri\/mantova-and-gnifetti-refuges-trail-6a\/\" class=\"sentiero-chip clickable-chip\">\n                    <i class=\"fas fa-hiking chip-icon-fa\"><\/i> \n                    <span class=\"chip-label\">TRAIL 6A<\/span>\n                <\/a>, which leads to the Citt\u00e0 di Mantova refuge).<\/p>\n<p>If you want to shorten the walk, instead of taking trail 7 in Stafal, take&#8230; the Gabiet cable car, which takes you to Lake Gabiet in less than 15 minutes. From there, simply take <strong>trail 6B <\/strong>(passing by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sentierigressoney.it\/en\/sentieri\/salza-hill-trail-6b\/\" class=\"sentiero-chip clickable-chip\">\n                    <i class=\"fas fa-hiking chip-icon-fa\"><\/i> \n                    <span class=\"chip-label\">ORESTES H\u00fcTTE<\/span>\n                <\/a> refuge) until you reach the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sentierigressoney.it\/en\/refuges\/#oresteshutte\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Salza pass<\/a>, from where you can continue to Alta Luce by following trail 7C as described here.<br \/>\nIf you want to avoid going through the refuge, you can take <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sentierigressoney.it\/en\/sentieri\/mantova-and-gnifetti-refuges-trail-6a\/\" class=\"sentiero-chip clickable-chip\">\n                    <i class=\"fas fa-hiking chip-icon-fa\"><\/i> \n                    <span class=\"chip-label\">TRAIL 6A<\/span>\n                <\/a> from Gabiet, which for several sections is in common with 6B: past the refuge, 6A and 6B come together. As soon as you come to the next fork, where 6A separates from 6B going to the right, continue straight for 300 meters until you reach the Salza Pass.<\/p>\n<p>The trail presents no technical You soon come to a plateau, heralded by a couple of buildings that can be seen from the trail, where the wonderful <strong>Alpe Cortlys<\/strong><strong>(1993m<\/strong>) is located. You pass the remains of the Alpe Salza Inferiore at 2323 meters, while as you climb the view of the Rosa mountain range becomes wider and wider. The trail continues to climb, passing short plateaus, until it reaches <em>Colle Salza<\/em> at 2,882 meters (about 3 hours from Stafal).
